I have been practicing painting in photoshop and have been reworking this image that was originally painted. I still have quite a bit to do on it, but it's been interesting. I have moved to some other photoshop painted images from scratch too. Thought I'd just show how far I got on this rework.
Nice job! I like the rework, even though I usually prefer seeing the texture of the painting. He looks faster and brighter :)
ReplyDeleteHa Ha this is very funny!!! :D
ReplyDeleteNice work!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who doesn't work digitally, I found this post really interesting. Fun to see the two versions together!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting. I find myself working in much the same way I do traditionally with paint. The one nice thing is that it is much easier to do fixes digitally.
ReplyDeletedo you ever mix the two mediums together? I still like traditional art but really like how it can be manipulated and improved in PS. Good job!
ReplyDeleteDave, I have mixed the mediums. I always scan my images in. I may go in and tweak things or even take things from one image and put them with another. The entire Two Can Art collection is done from scanned textures that are pieced together in Photoshop.
ReplyDeleteI had done several images that were more graphic looking totally in Photoshop, but wanted to expand into more rendered looks, so I have been doing some new pieces that are except for the initial sketch totally in Photoshop.
