Illustration Friday Topic-Heights

I thought this image fit the topic heights well. One of the first things I think of from where I live is the great redwood trees. There is a beautiful park near us (Cowell Park) with an abundance of them. This tree is from another park just down the road. This painting is done in oils on board.

    Fabulous painting! It really gives me the feel of this place. I haven't seen redwoods since my two boys were a bit younger than these two, but it could be them. I love the perspective, and the colors, but mostly just the overall FEEL of it.

    The park here is incredible. It is such a beautiful place. We usually walk a certain trail and one day we didn't go as usual there was a mountain lion spotted on the trail . We get tons of deer here and coyotes and bobcats. Lots of trees and lots of animals.
