After seeing my bees posted I was informed that I probably had something better to fit the topic. It was suggested that I post the koi fish painting I have. It is truly a swarm. This is an oil painting on Masonite. I love the brilliant color and textures of these fish. It was an exercise for me regarding how water works and light and how things look under water.
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! I also love Koi fish...they're not only pretty but are suppose to be lucky.
ReplyDeleteI used to love painting on masonite (in acrylics, though) but it's been years since then, since most of my stuff is digital now. I love the colors in this! Fun stuff :)
ReplyDeleteNice. I can't paint at all, except for a few amateur impasto style attempts. I'm sure water is very hard to pull off too, with all those ripples and reflections, but your water is magnificent. And yeh the colours of the fish are the fire in the water.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done!
ReplyDeleteReally great movement. I enjoyed your bees too. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely! It's hard not to be drawn to Koi paintings and yours is excellent!
ReplyDeleteI think this painting is gorgeous. I can feel the movement and energy. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe koi are beautiful, but I love the bees too. So happy! Who cares if such lovely things want to swarm together? :)
